1.1) Until Hikaru met Sai, he was really into sports. But really horrible at them. He was always playing baseball, riding the neighbor's skateboard, falling out of trees, ect., ect. He broke his arms and legs a bunch of times. His mother was convinced that Hikaru wouldn't survive to adulthood because he'd break his head open getting hit with a hockey puck or something. When Hikaru got into go, she was confused, but pleased, because she thought that at least he wasn't outside trying to kill himself or something.
1.2) Akiko had three miscarriages before she gave birth to Akira. They didn't think that they would actually be able to have a baby, so Akira will always be Akiko and Kouyo's miracle baby.
1.3) Ogata can't hold onto a woman because every one he meets, he compares to Ichikawa. Ichikawa only sees Ogata as a surrogate uncle.
1.4) Shindo's father doesn't understand him. When he was younger he tried, but as Hikaru got older, they had less and less in common. He loves his son, but feels better supporting him from a distance.
1.5) Sai had a younger brother. Hikaru reminds Sai of him.
2.1) Kishimoto and Tezuka (PoT, that would be freakin hilarious)
2.2) Touya and Naruto - they would drive each other crazy
2.3) Touya and Ren (Skip Beat) - they would probably ask each other the same question, "You make money doing, what?!"
2.4) Kuwabara and River (Firefly) - I have no words.
2.5) Shindo and Jaye (Wonderfalls) - They could talk about how they were told to do crazy things. And also, cute!
3.1) When he sees Hikaru with Hon Suyong after the North Star Cup, he gets ... just a little bit more peeved than he should have.
3.2) He got more excited the first time Shindo beat him in a game.
3.3) The first time Shindo beat the pants off of Kurata in an official match, Akira really didn't think much of the game, but he realized that he really wanted to see that look on Hikaru's face again.
3.4) When Akira left home and hour early because he knew that Hikaru wouldn't bring an umbrella to go to the train station.
3.5) On his birthday, Hikaru was the only guest under the age of 30, and after blowing out the candles, Hikaru took his piece of cake, and shoved it in Akira's face. They proceeded to have a 10 minute arguement...in front of 20 some odd guests. Many of whom were go pros. Akira was strangely okay with that.
Kekekeke. That made me happy.
