- Remix Madness: If you didn't sign up for Remix but would like to still remix Hikago fic, there's Remix Madness going on! People who have opted in and mentioned Hikaru no Go in their sign-up (that means that they have given permission for others to remix their fic for Remix Madness):

- Bring it on at AO3!: I am happy to announce that there are now 704 Hikago fanworks on AO3!

To give a sense of scale, we were only at 365 fanworks when

qem_chibati first posted the call back in late January. Congratulations for doing such an awesome job! If we beat Yuu-gi-oh, which is currently at 874 fanworks, we will be in the top 10!

- OTW Community Survey: On the subject of AO3, the archive is run and maintained by the Organization for Transformative Works, which is a non-profit being run by fellow fans. In addition to creating AO3, they also have a number of other projects, such as Fanlore (a sort of fannish Wikipedia), which you can read about at their website.

They are currently holding a community survey:

If you use AO3 or Fanlore (or any of their other projects) in any way, I really encourage you to take the survey because this is our chance to give them feedback. In particular, the OTW has had a history of issues with reaching out to anime/manga fans, and I think it would help a lot to show that we, as anime/manga fans, are using the OTW's projects and tell them what we want from the organization. (And if you're feeling especially motivated, please signalboost to other anime/manga fans as well!)

I was adding my newest doujinshi to my spreadsheet when I discovered The Doujinshi & Manga Lexicon, which is a pretty sweet site. I was thinking of adding my entries to it, but then I wondered if there were other doujinshi databases out there, or even one specific to HikaGo. Are there any sites people use for reference purposes, and what do you think are their pros and cons? I think if we can find a site a bunch of us like, it would be worthwhile to buff it with all the information we have (sort of like the drive we've been doing to up HikaGo's fic count on AO3.

not_primetime has just opened nominations for stories which no longer qualify for Yuletide (small rare fandoms), but are only medium in size, not mega fandoms (for more info on how it works, see their starting post here.

As you may guess from the community I'm posting too, Hikaru no Go qualifies!

... I want to nominate it but I got stuck at picking out only six characters. :( I was hoping that maybe I could get someone to co-nominate with me (and I can pick out additional characters from their nomination. XD)
