When Hikaru and Sai are walking down the streets of Tokyo, and they're talking about modern things like planes and putting people on the moon, and contrasting that with how umbrellas never change. They're too small, they blow away, and your feet always get wet. And Sai asks, "If we can put people on the moon, why are umbrellas still umbrellas?" I don't know why that always gets me, but it does.
2.) During the third-board match for Kaze Jr. High, the one before they play Kaiou, when Hikaru realizes he can't beat his opponent on his own. I think that's when Sai realizes that he can truly mold Hikaru into an amazing player, and Hikaru *wants* that to happen. It's such a beautiful bonding moment.
