What are your top five favorite moments with Hikaru and Sai in canon? :D!

Oh God, so many!!

5.) Sai demanding that Hikaru allow him to make an example of the man who is selling the fake Go boards.

4.) Hikaru and Sai exercising during the Pro Exams!! I always laugh SO HARD during this scene! "ICHI! NI! ICHI! NI!"

3.) When Hikaru and Sai are walking down the streets of Tokyo, and they're talking about modern things like planes and putting people on the moon, and contrasting that with how umbrellas never change. They're too small, they blow away, and your feet always get wet. And Sai asks, "If we can put people on the moon, why are umbrellas still umbrellas?" I don't know why that always gets me, but it does.

2.) During the third-board match for Kaze Jr. High, the one before they play Kaiou, when Hikaru realizes he can't beat his opponent on his own. I think that's when Sai realizes that he can truly mold Hikaru into an amazing player, and Hikaru *wants* that to happen. It's such a beautiful bonding moment.

1.) The Dream. When Hikaru accepts the fan from Sai...and he watches him fade away...God, I get teary just thinking about it!!

These are such fantastic moments, I completely agree! Their relationship was so charming sometimes. And the last one gets me teary eyed too!

3) is one of my favourite scenes in the whole series. It's so beautiful on so many levels.

or Montserrat. or Barcelona cathedral (didn't get chucked out of that one. just had an asthma attack in the middle of high mass. which, ok, not a good thing to do when you're in the choir)... in retrospect, it could be a thing I have with churches. ^.^'

Ok...Sai...tourist...oh geez.

5.) I'd take him to some kind of Heian-era play or recreation or something, so he could whine and complain about how inaccurate everything is!

4.) The Sistine Chapel, to show him something truly divine.

3.) The London Eye, so we could get stuck on top and have him flailing about, while at the same time enjoying the breathtaking view.

2.) Cape Canaveral to see a rocket launch, and prove to him that we really are putting people on the moon!

1.) OMG DISNEY WORLD!!!!! It would be like dragging a three-year-old along, but it would be the best trip EVER! We would go on all the rides and watch fireworks and get Mickey Mouse's autograph, and it would be SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
