i actually did a little mini hikago sfx count once (comparing to other comics). only for the first 10 pages of the first volume, but here it is.
i wonder if the original and viz have any differences? at least from my volume so far they seemed to always translate the sfx if/when they appeared. the translations just often sounded stupid haha.
i like "touya's feeling pained right about now" better. i mean eating dirt is all well and good, but i'm only into that if it's LITERAL dirt eating. :'D
yeah i wish viz would make up their minds. also b/c tons of other times they've just translated "senpai" as "upperclassman." but i guess they realized that'd sound awk in english if u used it as a direct form of address. but yeah, why not just leave it out and go with the person's name? FRANKLY THIS IS DUMB JUST MAKE UP YOUR MINDS AND STICK TO SOMETHING.
ahhh that's probably it. maybe they just have some taller and some shorter boxes and they happened to have two here of diff heights. MAKES SENSE.
HAHA OH THAT IS AWESOME TO KNOW, THANKS FOR THE DEETS ON HOW OBATA'S CHANGES CHANGED IT TO MAKE IT SOUND MORE FEMININE/SEXY!!!! haha i could see that there were slightly changes in the japanese, but i had no idea what effect they had. OH LITTLE SCANDALIZED HOTTA.
