NPT have said in previous FAQ's that they weren't going to modify their rules to match Yuletide specifically and they were generally going to err on the side of being inclusive rather than exclusive, also if it makes it past nominations stage and into sign ups - even if they have conflicting evidence that suggest that it doesn't qualify after all, they'll only take it into account for the next round, not disrupt the sign up / writing stage.
So shhh. I guess. :3
ETA: to clarify - there are actually multiple series that qualify for both due to the not perfectly matching sets of rules. NPT said it was in their best long term interests to not change their own rules every time Yuletide did.
