ahahahahaha hikaru. I mean I remembered he was originally in his grandpa's attic to find things to sell, but I kinda forgot how lulzy it was. SUCH A BRAT.
lol there was also totally a moment where this could've turned into a horror film hahahahaha. also the animation in this beginning segment seems a lot better to me than most of the animation in the series. I wonder if they got a bigger budget for the pilot or just for like, the intro "hook" to try to suck ppl into it.

Gosh I forgot how gr8 of a first ep that was. For me, the Sai backstory kind of drags a bit but I like it anyway b/c lol melodrama. But other than that the ep wasn't super exposition-heavy! And got right into some excellent Go action, explaining a few things, without needing to get into all the details right away. Pretty good balance! And the Sai backstory is def really necessary in the grand scheme of things so even tho for meeeeeee it's a little slow, it's probably good to get it in there and get it over with!
