tho the bottom being cropped off in the japanese one is probably due to the scans? i'm not sure. maybe it's cropped in whichever version they scanned it from. also the slight difference in the shading/levels is probably due to the scans as well. so the huge viz footnote box is the main point haha. altho even tho i knew this one was added, it didn't bother me too much b/c at least it didn't obscure anything really important? just a bit of touya's hair, which, while it's very nice hair, is not that vital to show in its entirety in every panel. XD
eta2: ok otoh the more i stare at this gif the more i'm like, "THAT BOX IS SO UNNECESSARILY LARGE FOR SUCH A SHORT FOOTNOTE" T__T
