Happy Birthday Torajiro!

Today, June 6th is Kuwabara Torajiro's birthday - that's Honinbo Shusaku, the Go player that Sai possessed.

Give than we know very little about what Kuwabara Torajiro from the Hikago manga thought about everything, other than he could play Go and choose to let Sai play, I thought that it might be nice to celebrate his birthday with a 19 Head Canon things.

What are 19 things that aren't strictly confirmed in the Hikago manga - that you think to be true or plausibly true? And/Or, what is your hikago fanon? Something that you'd like to be true and/or come true? (For any character!)

Thanks to readerofasaph - I sort of had a chance to prepare one earlier. XD

1. I suspect that Sugawara no Akitada (The other tutor of the emporer) did, what he did, for retaining power in the court.
2. Sai had other choices but they would of taken him away for go, which is no choice at all.
3. Torajiro was a really sweet kid.
4. Honinbou-Kuwabara's predecessors gave him a really hard time as he was growing up and into the game.
5. Ogata /really/ likes it when you call him sensei.
6. Kaga can deal with having shitty stuff happen, but don't you dare diss him. Ever.
7. Ochi is his own biggest critic - he just chooses to not to change the things people dislike about him as he doesn't consider it to be worth it.
8. Tsuitsui sometimes thinks mean thoughts, and then gets embarrassed about them. :3
9. Kishimoto has found his center in life, because at one point he completely lost it.
10. Fukui Yuuta sometimes thinks that people misjudge him because he chooses to keep a cheerful attitude.
11. Kaneko initially thought that Hikaru was cute. It didn't last long.
12. Hong SuYeong was acting out of his usual character when Hikaru met him.
13. Tsuda is sort of bemused by Akari's sudden interest in Go.
14. Joining the rat race of a salaryman horifies Yashiro deeeeeeply inside.
15. Ko Yeongha thinks that Japanese pros are kind of depressingly stuck in the past.
16 When Touya Kouyou was in the hospital the doctor told him, he should think about retiring and he basically said "fat chance", only Touya Kouyou like. He considers it, like an act of god, what happened after that.
17. Touya Akira thinks Hikaru's ultimate style is weird, but finds it fascinating with the additional possibilities it presents.
18. Akari is bemused by how Hikaru turned out, but when thinking about it, knows it could of been a lot worse.
19. Nase is going to be one of the Pro's that makes it.

Also "Everyone in town makes fun of the Kaio uniforms" Ahahahahaah! Yes they do!

Ok if we disregard all shipping stuff then these are the things that I find at least somewhat plausible (or in some instances would like if they were true):

1. Ogata is counted as family in the Touya household
2. Kaga does actually grow up to be a politician
3. Yashiro is really good in school
4. Shindou will somehow either by accident or by design actually scratch up Touya’s shiny bag
5. Iijima quits as an insei but he and Nase actually stay friends afterwards. He doesn’t keep up with the other insei though
6. Ogata will be really, really upset when Kuwabara dies but will refuse to admit it
7. If that new art can be counted as canon, then Touya’s parents are pretty surprised that he lets his hair grow out
8. Waya always feel responsible for all his friends and worries about them too often
9. Shindou does have a secret fear that people will disappear on him (yes, I know half of the fanfics out there)
10. Waya will like Touya much better after he has seen him yelling at the top of his lungs at Shindou
11. Isumi will win a title at least once
12. Akari will never be really good at go, but she will keep playing her whole life and teach her children how to play.
13. Mitani looks up Shindou’s match results on the internet but will die before he admits it.
14. Somewhere in Akiko’s family there probably is a yakuza connection.
15. Shindou will at least once ruin his only suit because he in some way managed to get bleach on it when he bleaches his hair the night before a really important game.
16. Kuwabara will actually manage to bully Isumi into caddying for him once
17. Kaneko and Mitani will continue to play go together after they graduated
18. When Nase finally dates she will absolutely date someone who think she is awesome when she kicks old men’s ass at go salons
19. Ochi might claim to think it is stupid, but he actually really would like to have someone dramatically state that he is their only rival in go.
