Everybody has (hopefully) already seen this but since I hadn't posted it here yet and I'm working hard on the sequel, I thought a (re)introduction is in order:

Oh, and I'd like to know if I should add author notes? I do have stuff to say but I myself don't like reading author notes. Or at least not until I've finished the story, and usually not even then. So I haven't added my two nickel's worth so far.

If author's notes are necessary to understand the fic, I would include them at the top. If they're sidenotes or random bits of trivia related to the fic that people might enjoy reading, I would include them at the end. If they're unrelated (writing thoughts, whatever) and people can read the fic without needing the notes, just make a post on your own journal or somewhere else, and then link to the notes.
