Leave a comment to this post to volunteer to post recommendation lists for our Open Beta celebration. Please include a theme for your rec list (e.g. pairing, character, genre, theme, etc.) and the week for which you are willing to post (see below).

You can make rec lists for fanfiction, fanart, fan sites, icons or any other fanwork related to Hikaru no Go. Please try to include a minimum of three items per list.

We're looking for at least one or two volunteers to lead a community-wide rewatch/reread of the series. You will need to decide on a schedule (the anime is 75 episodes and the manga is 23 volumes) and make a weekly discussion post to the community. (We leave it up to you whether you want to provide elaborate recaps complete with picspam or if you just put up, "Discuss!") Please leave a comment to this post if you're interested!

readerofasaph kindly volunteered to write up an introduction, but we will still appreciate more volunteers to write their own take on the series. It can be a formal essay summarizing the plot and discussing the major themes or a personal account of how you came to love Hikaru no Go.

Please leave a comment if you're interested in volunteering! We are setting a tentative time frame for the introductions to be posted to the comm during May 1-8 but if this time frame won't work for you, just add a note letting us know.
